Guaranteed Analysis Coming Soon

Analysis on the Original Complete

We do not have guaranteed analysis on all the meals at this time but we are working towards that. Below is the one analysis we did on the original complete.

We plan to do a full panel of all the meals very soon. However, in the mean time I can tell you a bit on how we make our foods and if you are looking for a specific percentage please let me know.

We started our company because many raw foods were not complete by nature, no bone, or just offals or just bone and some veggies. As a chef I decided to research what was needed in each meal and make it all into one puck so people wouldn’t have to guess. This is also why we combine proteins to give a greater spectrum of nutrition.

I do make all my recipes based on my research and keep things within very similar guidelines for each meal.

  • All products are Human grade. I produce in a facility in Calgary that is inspected by Alberta health services as we also make human grade food production there. The only thing that is not human grade is the green tripe. We grind that in a separate grinder and add in on the pucking machine.
  • Offals are 10 to 18%. That may sound like a lot but we put extra heart for the Taurine and green tripe for digestion. We keep the secreting offals like liver, kidney and spleen lower though to avoid toxins.
  • Veggies are only 10% and we double grind them to mimic the prey chewing the veggies and breaking down the cell walls.
  • Bone content changes based on the bone I use. More if it is soft bone like salmon frames or elk trachea.Less when it is chicken. However, total meaty bone is usually around 35%.
  • All my meals are low in fat as I do not add any fat in other than what is occurring in the meat itself.
  • I do not add any water in. In fact I don't even hydrate my dried seaweed before grinding. I like that the seaweed soaks up the juices from the meats and creates a cleaner product.
  • I always use multiple proteins so that I can gain a wider spectrum of amino acids and nutrients.
  • We only use Wild salmon not farmed
  • We only use TopGrass and TK Ranch Beef. However, the offals (namely the heart) can be from a few other farms as I can get them.

Fat

Most of our foods are low in fat, the Complete has been analyzed at 10.1% fat. The Hypo and Low fat are lower for sure.

The Low Fat was developed as I had a friend with a dog with EPI and it was successful for this dog so we started producing it.  It is low because of the 20% vegetables instead of the normal 10% also we select certain ingredients that are lower in fat and ensure that the trim especially is the lean trim. We also use 8% raw green beef tripe to aid in digestion. We have not had a guarantee analysis on this recipe yet but our educated guess by the Nutritional guide is 7-9% fat.

The Pork Turkey Coconut however, is actually quite high in fat! Our educated guess would be 20% or even more. This is a good one for dogs needing the fat for high energy.

AAFCO Testing

Our Testing process

Our foods go through a testing period based on the AAFCO feeding guidelines. When I first start I use nutritional values for all the ingredients and balanced them in accordance with the macro and micro nutrients. Then I created the recipe and used feeding trials.  I use several dogs and feed a specific meal for a minimum of 28 days looking at coat, weight, teeth etc. I also have used solely my food for all my animals cat and dogs and they have all maintained weight and health.

Transparency

If there is anything else I am transparent of what I put in my products and how I make it so please do not hesitate to ask.
